The opportunity
Work directly with Avinash to turn an early product into a dependable part of clinical work. This is an end-to-end building role: shape the architecture, write the software, observe how it performs in dental pilots, and improve it. The challenge is not just generating a note. It is making the entire experience useful, responsive, and easy to trust.
HeyJarvis is building a new way for clinicians to work, starting with documentation. Today, it is led by Avinash Sanghavi and being shaped through dental pilots. You would help build the next chapter—not step into an already established department.
What you’ll own
- Own product features across the application, backend services, and the connection to the eyewear, from a first prototype through testing and release.
- Build and improve the speech-to-draft workflow, including streaming, interruptions, error recovery, and the clinician’s review and approval experience.
- Create evaluations for note quality and system reliability. Make uncertainty and failure states visible rather than hiding them behind a polished demo.
- Build thoughtful foundations for authentication, data access, observability, testing, and deployment, with careful handling of sensitive information.
- Work with the founder and pilot clinicians to understand friction, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and turn feedback into measurable improvements.
What you’ll bring
- You have shipped software that real people rely on and can explain the decisions, tradeoffs, and lessons behind it.
- You can move between a user-facing experience and APIs, databases, or backend services. You are comfortable learning the parts you do not already know.
- You have worked with AI-powered features, real-time systems, or similarly unpredictable inputs, and care about evaluation as much as implementation.
- You take ownership in an early-stage environment, communicate clearly, and can simplify an ambiguous problem without losing sight of the user.
Helpful, not a checklist
Experience with audio, wearable devices, healthcare workflows, EHR integrations, or privacy-sensitive products would be useful. You do not need to have worked in all of them.
